This June, the new instax mini 13™ instant camera gets the launch it deserves. To celebrate, we're throwing a Y2K party in east London, and it's the biggest instax™ launch we've put on yet. Picture throwback energy from the second you walk in, flash photography, inflatable installations and challenges running right through the day. It all happens for one day only, so this is one to get in the diary early.

Bring the friends you take all your photos with, or just turn up and see who you meet. There's no wrong way to do it. Either way, you'll head home with a handful of instax™ prints and a phone full of photos you'll actually want to keep.

What's the popup all about?

It's a one-day celebration for the launch of the new instax mini 13™ instant camera, landing at the Truman Brewery on 26 June. We're turning the space into a full noughties party, with duo photo challenges, custom charm chains, sticker stations, lip sync battles and a live DJ keeping the energy up from open to close. 

So why duos? Because the best moments are always better shared, and the new instax mini 13™ instant camera was made for exactly that with its new self-timer feature. Set it, step back, and everyone's in the shot, with no one stuck behind the camera.

The brand new mini 13™ is the star of the show. You'll be able to get hands on with it and pick one up on the day, with limited stock available and £5 off for ticket holders.

• Tickets: £7 general admission. Ticket holders get £5 off the new mini 13™, exclusive to this event 
• Opening hours: 12pm to 6pm (timed entry with slots every 15 minutes)

On the day: try the camera, take part in the challenges, and pick up an instax mini 13™ along with instax™ film packs from the retail area if you want to take the kit home

What's going on inside

We're keeping a few things back as surprises, but here's a taste of what's on:

•       Duo photo challenges to take on with whoever you bring
•       Custom charm chains to make, swap and clip onto your camera
•       Lip sync and dance battles, with a live DJ running the soundtrack
•       Inflatable installations built for photos

Grab the new mini 13™ at the popup

We'll have a shop at the venue stocked with the brand new instax mini 13™ instant camera, fresh off its launch. Stock is limited, so it's worth sorting early. The £5 off is exclusive to ticket holders, whether you add the camera when you book your ticket or pick one up at the activation. Short on time? Pre-order ahead and collect when you arrive.

It's about as easy as instant cameras get. Point, press, and a print slides out a few seconds later, and the selfie mirror by the lens helps you fit the whole group in. Already have your own instax™ camera? Bring it along, it's welcome too. We'll have instax™ mini film packs in stock so you can load up and start printing on the spot.
